If we are developing a website for you, and you already have a domain registered elsewhere, we will need you to transfer your domain to our hosting system.

Normally this is a straightforward process but some hosting companies do seem to go out of their way to make things as difficult as possible!

If you are lucky, you will have access through your domain control panel to transfer a domain yourself.

Often though you will be charged a transfer fee by your existing host, £25 or so is the norm. Be warned, some will try and charge a lot more!

For a UK domain, you or your domain host need to change the IPS Tag to 'EXTEND' and advise us when this is done.

For a Global domain (.com, .org or .net) your existing host will provide you with an authorisation code which we need in order to begin the transfer process.
